Some lessons do not begin with blackboards and chalk, but are formed through real-life experiences and every step of a meaningful journey.
The end-of–Semester I field trip to Dong Thap of Primary School students at Pacific College was not only an opportunity for sightseeing and recreation, but also a journey of discovery—where students connected with knowledge, emotions, and lasting life values.
In the solemn setting of Phuong Nam Cultural Tourist Area, students were given the opportunity to listen to and deeply feel historical stories—stories of those who pioneered, safeguarded, and built the Southern land. Through these experiences, a sense of gratitude, national pride, and respect for traditional values was nurtured within the students. History was no longer dry or abstract, but became vivid and approachable through each real-life site they explored.
Leaving the historical space behind, the journey continued at Sa Dec Flower Village, where a vibrant and colorful world unfolded before the students’ eyes—a place where nature, labor, and creativity harmoniously blend. Here, students learned to appreciate beauty, cherish nature, and experience firsthand the value of perseverance and skill reflected in the daily work of the people of the Mekong Delta.
Beyond gaining knowledge, the trip also provided students with valuable opportunities to develop communication and teamwork skills, strengthen friendships, and deepen the bond between teachers and students. Every smile and every shared moment became a beautiful memory, contributing to a childhood that is both meaningful and unforgettable.
Though the field trip has come to an end, the lessons learned, emotions felt, and cherished memories will continue to accompany the students on their journey of growth. The school believes that through today’s real-life experiences, students will grow to love learning, appreciate life, and confidently explore the world around them.
